Select sanitary stainless steel can also be used in the food industry. However, its price is higher than that of cast iron and aluminum alloys, so it cannot be used in some highly corrosive media.
4. Engineering plastics pneumatic diaphragm pump
Engineering plastic pneumatic diaphragm pump is a new type of diaphragm pump. The pump body is made of engineering plastic or reinforced polypropylene. Its obvious advantages are that its corrosion resistance is stronger than that of ordinary metal diaphragm pumps, and its price is lower than that of stainless steel diaphragm pumps, but due to its own shortcomings, it cannot be compared with metal materials in strength and has poor temperature resistance. And it is easy to deform when encountering high temperature. Suitable for transporting corrosive and low temperature media. With the continuous development of technology, in recent years, air-operated diaphragm pumps made of fluoroplastic and lined PTFE materials have been produced, which have strong corrosion resistance and heat resistance.
